Overview
Position: Financial Controller (CPA or RPA). Starting salary: $99,000. 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Location: 7 Shingwauk Street, Garden River, ON.
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations of Garden River First Nation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical leadership function in supporting operational efficiency, cost control, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain budgets, accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including variance analysis, inventory valuation, and yield analysis.
