JOB SUMMARY
Located in SW Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northern British Columbia - Floorhands are primarily responsible for handling drilling equipment on the drilling rig floor and keeping the rig and location clean and orderly.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assists the other crewmembers in their duties, including maintenance and repair of rig equipment, and he/she is a general all-around worker on the rig. There are usually two Floorhands on a crew, although smaller rigs may have only one. This is a manual labour position that involves making connections on the rig floor to connect and disconnect pipe smoothly and efficiently, assist with casing, and general housekeeping around the rig site.
