Summary This position is located within the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD)'s, Office of Outbreak Detection and Response (ODR) which protects Americans and enhances U.S. security and prosperity by using diplomacy and targeted support to stop international disease outbreaks at their source. GHSD leads U.S. diplomatic engagement and implements global health and global health security programs, including to address emerging infectious disease threats. Responsibilities Serves as point of contact for actions assigned by State Department offices , U.S. embassies and posts, and other U.S. government agencies related to health and foreign policy Works on health policy issues pertinent to a geographic area or specific health topic, maintaining currency on relevant legislative and policy developments.
