LINES is a real‑time, community‑driven going‑out platform delivering live venue videos, wait times, event listings, and exclusive deals across London, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Tens of thousands of users rely on it every weekend. We are scaling fast and migrating from Firebase to a fully owned AWS backend to power real‑time feeds, ticketing, and future features.
What you'll do
- Design backend systems for real‑time, localized, event‑driven timelines (Twitter/Instagram‑style)
- Architect feeds: fanout, ranking, filtering, personalization
- Build performant APIs for mobile and web clients
- Own features end‑to‑end—architecture, implementation, deployment, observability
- Build ticketing flows: inventory, reservations, consistency, concurrency
- Build ingestion pipelines (scrapers, cron, integrations) for the event database
