Position Summary
The Glass Operations Mechanic will report directly to the Glass Operations Supervisor and perform maintenance and production tasks to assist with glass operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned significant maintenance repairs and upgrades in Glass Plant. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Bearing replacement
- Lubrication system maintenance
- Dust collector maintenance
- Small mechanical construction projects (welding, piping, etc)
- Operate Glass Cleaning, Glass Operations equipment as standard but be able to operate plant legacy equipment if required.
- Packaging 1000 kg bulk bags of products via bulk bag loading system in Glass area.
- Report any inconsistencies and use standard repair procedures.
- Monitor quality and record general production information (when required).
