The General Purpose (GP) Operator will exhibit a high standard of safety behavior and will ensure that all aspects of shipboard maintenance, rigging, slinging, painting and preservation, storage, housekeeping and general duties are carried out safely and effectively.It is a MSM position as for IMO Resolution A. 1079/28 (As per Safe Manning Document)Authority
The GP Operator has authority to carry out shipboard maintenance and preservation under the direction of the GP Foreman. The GP operator will ensure the safety of himself, team members, visitors and subcontractors within the limits of his responsibility.Immediate Subordinates
