Job Summary
:Reporting to the Manager of Operations, Durham Student Transportation Services, the position is responsible for the planning of safe and efficient transportation of students daily, planning, administering, reviewing and monitoring all bus routes within an assigned geographic area. The position will provide planning expertise in all aspects of student transportation using projected enrolment and/or ridership, vehicle utilization and capacity, transportation accommodation and student safety with the goal of maximizing route effectiveness and efficiency while adhering to Ministry of Transportation and Highway Traffic Act regulations. Responds to inquiries from parents, schools, municipalities, member boards and bus operator staff. Maintains computerized transportation data, including data analysis and statistical reporting.
