Role Overview
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Field Service team in Newfoundland.
Schedule: 14‑14 (subject to change). Permanent and stable opportunity with a respected and growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment for proper performance and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair, and replace defective parts, components, or systems according to scope of work.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure operational performance.
- Commission new equipment and train customers on operations.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
- Stay current with industry developments, product developments, and technical best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
