Position Summary
The Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care to patients with hematologic disorders and cancer diagnoses. This role involves diagnosis, treatment management, patient education, and coordination of care across multidisciplinary oncology teams. The NP works collaboratively with oncologists, hematologists, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Care- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, biopsies)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
