Housekeeping Aid/Environmental Services Technician (Part-Time)

Summary This Part-Time position is located within the Environmental Management Services Division of a VA Medical Center. This position is under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor or designee. This position performs both janitorial and custodial services e.g., textile distribution and inventory activity, sanitizing and disinfecting, waste removal, cleaning of blinds, washing windows, discharge cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing and extracting, polishing floors and applying floor finishes. Responsibilities The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician major duties include but are not limited to: Performs the full range of cleaning tasks requiring use of powered cleaning equipment. Uses cleaning chemicals. Make beds, change linens, collect soiled linens, deliver clean linen and supplies.
