Job Summary
Seeks an experienced interpreter to provide simultaneous interpretation of the Legislative Assembly debates, committee proceedings, and press conferences, and to support translation between English and French. The role reports to the Manager, Language Services.
What You’ll Do
- Provide simultaneous interpretation of debates in the House, committee proceedings, and press conferences in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Exercise tact, diplomacy, and good judgement in all interactions with people involved in the parliamentary process.
- Collaborate with the Language Services team on ongoing professional development and ensure linguistic and technical accuracy of legislative terminology.
- Provide some translation from English to French as needed.
