Position Summary
JRN 200Students learn the process of generating, pitching, researching, writing, editing, and
publishing stories for printed and on-line publications. With a weekly lab, this course
focuses on fundamentals and principles for gathering, assembling, and producing
accurate, timely news stories with headlines, photographs, cut lines, and social
media according to Canadian Press style. Position Requirements The successful candidate will teach the independent and critical practice of print/
digital journalism and essential skills to become a successful journalist.
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching
journalism studies, recent and relevant professional experience, and those with
practical experience and knowledge in print and multimedia. Knowledge of news
