Join North York General Hospital as a Laboratory Technician specializing in Histopathology. This full-time temporary position offers hands-on experience in a vital healthcare setting.
In this role, you will work closely with pathologists and assist them in various laboratory procedures to ensure patient safety. Your tasks include setting up equipment, staining slides, and managing histopathology specimens, contributing positively to the lab’s operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support pathologist in gross bench activities
• Clean and prepare laboratory equipment
• Perform staining and coverslipping tasks
• Manage reagents and laboratory supplies
• Accession and organize histopathology specimens
Requirements:
• Completed Laboratory Technician program
• Hold MLPAO certification
• Preferred experience in histology laboratory
• Strong English communication skills
• Flexible and organized in workload management
