The Layout Engineer is responsible for the definition, integration, and validation of vehicle layout and package concepts, ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and performance fulfillment in alignment with TRATON Group product strategy, customer requirements, and brand-specific applications.
Responsibilities and assignments
- Assess the technical feasibility of new vehicle concepts and derivatives through competitive benchmarking, requirement-to-specification comparison, and performance validation;
- Define vehicle vocation, wheelbase, body application, and package strategy by performing mass distribution and axle load analyses, ensuring compliance with functional, legal, and TRATON internal targets;
