Description
The Lead Sleep Technologist provides technical supervision for both nighttime and daytime technologists and ensures high-quality standards across all sleep studies. In addition to performing the full range of testing offered in the lab, the Lead will conduct, record, and score sleep studies in real-time in accordance with AASM guidelines.
Key responsibilities include supporting quality assurance initiatives, training and mentoring sleep technologists, and collaborating with the Sleep Center Medical Director to ensure timely scoring and reporting for physician interpretation. This role also plays a key part in maintaining patient safety throughout all testing.
Additional duties include:
+ Ensuring proper functioning and calibration of all sleep lab equipment
+ Designing and updating protocols for specialized studies
+ Backing up all patient polysomnographic data
+ Providing technical support for new procedures and protocols
