GE Vernova’s Steam Turbine Engineering team seeks a Lead Engineer to support the design and development of high‑efficiency steam turbines for combined cycle projects. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional partners to calculate clearances, thrust, and steampath components, and to lead technical activities across the product life cycle.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead Engineer – Clearances and Thrust
- Calculate differential expansion, radial and axial clearances for NPI, new units, and service upgrade projects.
- Check axial thrust calculations for NPI, new units and service upgrade projects.
- Act as technical leader for all clearance and thrust items for the GPT Steam Turbine team.
Lead Engineer – Steampath
- Design bucket, blade, and nozzle components and perform rotor calculations for OTR activities in new units.
