Your Opportunity: Nestled 58 kms southwest of Calgary in the beautiful Diamond Valley, Alberta, the vibrant Oilfields General Hospital offers an excellent rural nursing opportunity in a unique and diverse Alberta Health Services care facility. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Acute Care works in a Patient Family Centered Care environment that focuses on meeting the comprehensive and complex care needs of patients and their families in a home‑like setting. The LPN will work on a 15‑bed medical unit and in the Emergency Department, collaborating with RNs, health care aides, rehabilitation staff, recreation therapy, pharmacy and physicians to promote, maintain or restore health. The LPN provides leadership through assessment, planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of patient care, actively engaging in health promotion, chronic disease management and enhancing the patient’s activities of daily living.
