Job Description
Working under the guidance of the Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for their work assignment in accordance with competency guidelines within the standards of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) current legislative scope of practice and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of George Derby Centre.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates resident care needs including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual.
- Provides direct resident care including administration of medications and treatment.
- Reports problems and/or changes to the Registered Nurse or Care Coordinator.
- Collaborate with intradisciplinary team to create and modify individualized resident care plans as needed.
