Ensures that financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP, government regulations, and corporate policy practices, working with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance.
Determines the impact of legislative and corporate changes in generally accepted accounting principles and develops and implements internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Directs monthly general ledger closing, ensuring that all financial and cash reports are available in an accurate and timely manner.
Coordinates the monthly balance sheet reconciliation for the countries the person is responsible in the District and prepares explanations on variances.
