Job Summary
The Central Planning Manager is responsible for a team that orders parts to the delivery phase of the purchasing process for parts supplied by their assigned suppliers for all production facilities. The Central Planning Manager will be assigned a product group and will be expected to drive planning efficiency improvements, maintain build and ship performance for their segment, and reduce expedites.
Responsibilities
- Multi‑Site planning and inventory responsibility
- Manage OTS Supplier Performance
- Manage/work with 3rd party logistics vendors
- Analyze shortage database for product level trends, then define cross‑functional teams to address systemic / chronic performance issues
- Analyze Inventory for opportunities to improve turns and identify excess at the product group level
- Work with Logistics & Purchasing to drive item receipt efficiency without deleveraging logistics costs
