Summary
The Senior Transportation Procurement Manager will develop and refine procurement strategy for a portfolio of Fortune500 clients while managing a small procurement team. This role collaborates closely with operations teams and supply‑chain engineers to design, implement, and maintain best‑in‑class transportation solutions and to engage directly with supply‑chain leaders at a diverse customer base.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the liaison between carrier and customer, engaging in in‑depth discussions with executive level leadership to align relationships and present benefits.
- Conduct external client presentations to promote the strategic procurement vision for the client‑carrier portfolio.
- Take responsibility for RFP creation, strategic carrier selection, presentation, route guide preparation, carrier analysis, price negotiations, and service negotiations.
