Job Description
Main Purpose of Job
To manage daily law
enforcement operations, oversee department bureaus, and supervise offices to
protect state-owned facilities, government leaders, state workers, and
visitors. This position supervises the rank of Captains, who command
Detachments/Divisions, and lieutenants, who command specialized Sections
reporting directly to Headquarters. The position reports directly to the Chief
of Police and Deputy Chief of Police and is third in command. The position can
assume overall command of the department in the Chief's and Deputy Chief’s
absence.
