Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Working with internal and external stakeholders, this position provides engineering services backed by expertise in relevant Fire and Building Codes.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Undertake design, design review, and manage projects including site reviews and assessing the fire protection systems in a building and apply Canadian provincial and national Building and Fire Codes, CAN/ULC, NFPA standards, and best practice guidelines related to Fire Protection Systems.
- Project manage system installations in close coordination with contractors and other cross‑functional teams. Attend construction and pre‑construction site meetings.
- Apply and provide interpretations of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, and ULC/NFPA standards to internal and external client.
- Take leadership in resolving compliance matters and attending meetings with stakeholders and with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
