Job Summary:
Is perceived by patients and other contacts (physicians, insurance companies, office staff) as dependable and responsive to patient needs.
+ Ability to listen effectively and maintain patient confidenceand trust
+ Assists doctors with procedures
+ Prep patients or injections
+ Capable of anticipating doctors needs as well as the patients
+ Performs on a multi-task level
+ Enters the appropriate EPIC orders to obtain insurance authorizations for tests, physical therapy and durable medical equipment as indicated in Provider notes for sign off by Provider
+ Proficient in utilizing EPIC for the following tasks: orders, changing providers, making appointments, changing appointments, checking patients out, recording administered injections using the MAR, use of quick disclosure
