Job Description
The Metal Processing Technician I provides industrial support services in support of the FAA Logistics Center requirements. Tasks include a variety of industrial skills including painting, stenciling, silk screening, cleaning, metal finishing (sandblasting, chemical etching, alodining), and plastic and fiberglass services of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic parts, assemblies, and subassemblies. The work includes design development from ideas and general concepts provided by the Government and is performed from blueprints, drawings, samples, and written instructions received from the Government.
The position supports the Paint and Metal Processing Support Work Center by providing fabrication and repair services such as painting and metal finishing in accordance with applicable standards.
