Qualifications and Experience
•Hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate, or be eligible to obtain certification, with experience teaching Grades 7 to 9 students• Hold a degree in a related Fine Arts or Performing Arts field• Strong vocal and choral pedagogy, including experience with changing adolescent voices, ensemble development, and musical theatre performance• Ability to read music confidently and teach rhythm, harmony, part singing, and vocal technique effectively• Knowledge of acting, movement, staging, and basic choreography within a musical theatre context• IB MYP experience, or experience within an inquiry driven learning environment, is considered an asset• Strong classroom management, rehearsal leadership, collaboration, and communication skills within active performing arts settings• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and production teams under the direction of a Production Director• Familiarity with basic theatre production and technical sys...
