Job Description
General Functions
This position is responsible for all production aspects of a business unit(s) within the manufacturing organization. Develops tactical and strategic objectives to meet goals of the department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and evaluate both direct and indirect resources to ensure high productivity levels
- Oversee a workforce of hourly and salaried employees, in multiple manufacturing departments, and shifts
- Track and meet daily/weekly/monthly KPIs: Safety Near Miss Reporting, Quality/Scrap, Volume/Productivity, Efficiency and Lead-Time
- Identifies and presents plans to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
- Set ambitious production goals, communicate them to key personnel and influence team to buy into those ambitious goals
- Provide guidance, motivation, and establish methods that will promote objective thinking and teamwork within department
