Job Description Summary
Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities. Technologists must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologists must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of a licensed practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality radiology/CT/MRI or mammography examinations from neonate to geriatric patients for interpretation by a physician.
- Operate imaging equipment (radiology, CT, MRI, or mammography) following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
- Provide radiographic support for all areas of the hospital as needed.
- Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required.
