Part-Time Academic (HPRO/KINE/LEIS 5503: Intermediate Statistics for Health Sciences) - Winter 2027

The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: HPRO/KINE/LEIS 5503 – Intermediate Statistics for Health Sciences (X-listed LEIS/KINE/HPRO 5503).The course will be offered in the Winter Term, from January 1st, 2027- April 30th, 2027. NOTE: This is an in-person course and includes lecture and tutorials.

This course provides graduate students with a working knowledge of statistical issues and methods commonly used by researchers in the Health Professions. The statistical software package SPSS is introduced and used by students throughout the course. Topics covered include a review of probability and one and two sample inferences for means and proportions. This is followed by some common experimental designs, contingency tables and odds ratios.
