Overview
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Clinical molecular genetics residency programs. Molecular genetic pathology residency programs. Work setting: Hospital (staff position). Willing to relocate. Urban area. Relocation costs covered by employer.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders.
- May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods.
- Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
- Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
- Supervise laboratory activities.
- Act as consultants to other physicians.
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures.
- Supervision: 16-20 people.
