Physiotherapist - CVICU/CICU/D3 - Cardiac surgery, Vascular surgery and Cardiology
Summary of Duties
The Physiotherapist (in collaboration with the interprofessional team) is responsible for providing person centred patient assessments and interventions for cardiology patients, as well as post operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients. Working uniquely to provide care in the ICU setting and continuing to follow patients on the ward, and toward discharge.
The successful candidate will:
- Make recommendations for follow-up as required (i.e. Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources) in the Schulich Heart Program.
- Work with the physiotherapists and other members of the patient care program/team of in the Schulich Heart Program to enhance and support best practice and the existing collaborative relationships.
