Pipe Welder able to weld in the 6G Position and Pass
The Pipe Welder will be responsible for making x-ray quality pipe welds on various pipe sizes (1/2” to 24”), thicknesses (schedule 10 thru 160) and materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, exotic metals). The welder must be able to weld GTAW and SMAW successfully and accurately in multiple positions. The welder must also be able to accurately read and understand ISO’s and P&IDs drawings.
** Job Responsibilities:**
- Makes X-ray quality welds in the field or shop as instructed by supervisor in all positions.
- Knows and understands welding symbols and types of welds required for different piping systems and specifications.
- Performs other tasks related to the mechanical project execution components which may include the installation of piping, supports, valves, and other pipe related equipment as directed.
