Plant Mechanical Engineer
AltaSteel is seeking a self‑motivated individual to become an essential part of the Steelmaking Maintenance team. Reporting to the Manager, Steelmaking Maintenance, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering services to the Steel Making department. The significant focus of this role will be problem solving and making engineering decisions related to plant and equipment.

- Ensure understanding and compliance to the critical safety, environmental and quality working systems
- Initiate and oversee projects that have been identified as required by operations
- Supervise and direct employees and contractors as required, to ensure safety and quality requirements are met
