Reports to: Senior Manager, Platform Engineering
About This Role
Rates.ca operates a modern, regulated, multi‑platform engineering ecosystem spanning cloud, edge, CI/CD, observability, and data platforms. As the platform surface grows, we’re looking for strong Platform Engineers who can:
- Build and evolve paved roads for software engineers
- Operate confidently across cloud and edge architectures
- Reduce friction, risk, and toil across delivery teams
- Partner closely with Security, Operations, and Software Engineering
What You’ll Work On (Platform Scope)
You’ll contribute to and operate across the core platforms currently used at Rates.ca, including:
- AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, networking, managed services)
- Hybrid workloads spanning serverless and VM‑based systems
- Regional and environment‑aware deployment patterns
