Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Privacy Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the information entrusted to Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC). This position provides expert leadership over SCIC’s privacy management framework, ensuring compliance with The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP), the Provincial Personal Information Privacy Framework, and related federal and provincial legislation—while enabling responsible information use that supports SCIC’s programs, services, and innovation.
As a trusted advisor, the Privacy Manager works across the organization to embed privacy‑by‑design into business practices, technology solutions, procurements, and third‑party agreements. This role balances legislative interpretation, risk management, and practical problem‑solving to help SCIC operate responsibly, transparently, and with public trust.
