Responsibilities
This position is accountable for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant's operating unit. The Process Operator/Power Engineer will monitor operating equipment, prepare it for maintenance, and ensure a safe working environment for everyone at Yara Belle Plaine.
Follow procedures to control the process ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.Determine maintenance needs, prepare the equipment for maintenance, and provide a hazard free environment while maintaining unit operations and ensuring the least impact on production.Learn all areas within the assigned operating unit and progress in increasing levels of responsibility with an aim to be a panel qualified operator within 5 years.Work towards improving knowledge within the operations department and ensure the operating teams skill levels are maintained or increased by acting as a trainer, identifying areas of weakness, he...
