Pursue excellence in process safety with a local role in Edmonton as a Process Safety Engineer - HAZOP Facilitator. Lead critical safety assessments in refining and chemical processing environments.
We're looking for a skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our Edmonton-based team. In this role, you'll utilize your facilitation expertise to guide Process Hazard Analysis workshops. Collaborating closely with engineering and operations, you will assess hazards and implement risk mitigation measures. Strong technical knowledge and a collaborative approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead HAZOP and PHA studies for refining units
• Facilitate LOPA and SIL studies to manage risks
• Identify ALARP gaps impacting safety performance
• Apply Risk Assessment Matrix for hazard evaluation
• Document findings and present to technical teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 5+ years in process safety within refining sectors
