Purchase Engineer

Job Summary: The Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing or project operations. The role requires a combination of technical expertise and procurement skills to ensure quality materials are purchased at competitive prices and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities: Vendor Development & Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and vendors. Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL). Conduct supplier performance evaluations and audits. Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers. Ensure supplier compliance with company quality and delivery standards. Procurement Operations Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per requirements. Coordinate with production, stores, planning, and engineering departments for material requirements.
