*Purpose of this position*: Under the direction of the vice president of patient care services and in conjunction with the radiologists, the service director ensures service development, personnel management and resource allocation and control in order to support and enhance patient care. Responsible for the services provided within the hospital and satellite clinics including diagnostic, radiology, ultrasound, CT Scan, nuclear medicine, MRI, Interventional Radiology and Mammography.

* Plan and implement short and long term goals; organize, define, and manage staff and capital equipment in an assigned radiology area in light of applicable vision and mission statements
* Select, train, evaluate, discipline, and counsel employees consistent with department rules and regulations and applicable strategic plan and vision
