Summary The Charles George VA Medical Center one vacancy for a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Direct patient care for critically ill patients in SICU Patient and family education Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in planning care. Preferred Education/Experience: BSN with two (2) years of professional nursing practice as an RN with one year of critical care experience Documented skill in effective interpersonal relationships and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members Documented ability to manage many high priority activities Documented skill in independent decision making, sound clinical judgment and ability to apply critical thinking Documented knowledge/experience with accreditation standards Documented knowledge in performance improvement activities Documented evidence or reliability/dependability BLS and ACLS Certification National board certification VA offers a comprehensiv...
