Detailed Overview
Under the direction of a senior position such as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Recreation Therapist, assists designated clients who have severe and persistent mental illness with assigned rehabilitative activities including activities of daily living; implements rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating clients' progression; transports and accompanies clients on appointments and activities. Responsibilities Carries out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan such as actively involving clients in day-to-day activities, demonstrating and participating in activities of daily living and providing functional skills training to clients and families in performing life skills such as communication, maintaining personal hygiene and appearance, meal planning, food preparation, safety, shopping and budgeting.
