Job Description
Responsibilities
- Apply technical knowledge across planning and consenting work streams
- Oversee environmental compliance and consenting maintenance activities across the State Highway network
- Assess third party applications, including through FTAA processes
- Respond to and consent emergency works
- Assist principal planners with Roads of National Significance FTAA approvals
- Build relationships with key local stakeholders for land use decisions
- Represent NZTA at hearings and community meetings and provide advice for decision making
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Resource Management Act (RMA) regulatory process
- Understanding of other relevant statutes including Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Act, Wildlife Act and Conservation Act
