Job Description
Description: Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Vessel Designer / Checker is an integral part of our drafting team.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D vessel models.
- Create accurate vessel detail drawings.
- Check and approve vendor-supplied vessel drawings.
- Carry out vessel checking as required.
- Mentor junior and intermediate vessel designers.
- Create and maintain vessel drawing standards.
- Create and maintain vessel standard drawings.
- Make recommendations for improved processes and efficiency.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in vessel design and fabrication.
- Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
