Job Summary:
Responsible for safe and efficient handling of raw materials, scrap, refractories, and by-products in the Storage Yard and SMP area. The role ensures proper receiving, storage, movement, and supply of materials to steelmaking operations while coordinating with contractors and maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raw Materials Receiving
- Receive and verify materials against shipping and packing documents.
- Perform visual inspection and collect samples for laboratory testing as per procedure.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or abnormalities immediately to the supervisor.
- Store materials according to defined procedures and work instructions.
- Coordinate unloading and stacking activities with contractors (e.g., Harsco).
