Be part of Unity Health Toronto as a Spiritual Care Practitioner at the Providence Healthcare site. This part-time position prioritizes culturally sensitive care for patients and their families.
As a part-time (0.5 FTE) practitioner, you will be dedicated to assessing needs and integrating spiritual care across diverse team settings. Collaboration with staff and community clergy will be key to fostering patient well-being. The role requires a compassionate approach to spiritual suffering and effective crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote high-quality spiritual and religious care
• Communicate care plans to the clinical team
• Facilitate spiritual rituals and prayer opportunities
• Engage patients and families in ethical discussions
• Provide support for emotional distress across care settings
Requirements:
• Completion of Clinical Psycho-Spiritual Education (CPE)
• Active membership in CASC or similar
