Essential Qualifications
- Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia
- Major/Minor in French or attended Immersion in the Public School system
- Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area(s) at the appropriate level for the competition
- Excellent classroom and student management skills
- Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning
- Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies
- Knowledge of inter-disciplinary planning is a requirement
- Knowledge of Grades P-6 French Language Arts Curriculum
- High level of proficiency in teaching in an Immersion setting
