Responsibilities
Planning and overseeing geotechnical investigations from proposal phase to final submission for the geotechnical and foundation design report, including meetings and client correspondence. Planning and overseeing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects, including dewatering. Directing field activities for instrument installation, such as inclinometers, surface monitoring points, pressure cells, strain gauges, multi‑point borehole extensometer (MPBX), monitoring wells, vibrating wire piezometers and data loggers. Carrying out site visits and troubleshooting geotechnical‑linked construction site issues. Support the construction team to make initial trench slope stability assessments. Supervise the work of geotechnical design subcontractors in the field of dewatering, slope stability, drill and blast design, and excavation face stability.
