About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, rigorous, problem‑hungry platform engineer who codes to help scale Ashby’s hiring platform. The role involves solving scaling problems, adding new capabilities to the platform, and ensuring reliability and security for our data.
Responsibilities
- Optimize our homegrown ultra‑dynamic recruiting DSL‑to‑SQL compiler and create tools to help developers
- Create automated guardrails for the security and privacy of customer data
- Help developers ship features fast through canary deployments, gradual rollouts, and feature flags while managing complexity and reducing downtime
- Define SLOs, implement corresponding SLIs, and set up monitoring
- Ensure communication with external services supports retries and circuit‑breakers
- Implement infrastructure to support an event‑driven architecture and data warehouse
