Kirklees Council is seeking an ambitious Strategic Lead for Sport and Physical Activity. This is a high‑impact strategic leadership role, shaping how sport and physical activity contribute to improved health, wellbeing, community cohesion and place‑making across the district.
The role and its strategic impact
Reporting to the Culture & Visitor Economy service but working across the council with services working towards sport and physical activity outcomes, you will play a central role in turning the Council’s ambitions into practical, place‑based outcomes.
You will lead the district’s sport and physical activity strategy, driving inclusive, preventative programmes that reduce inequalities and improve wellbeing.
