Linum Consult’s client is an international main contractor, urgently seeking a Subcontract Manager to manage key subcontract packages on a large Design & Build (UAV-GC) highway and bridge project in the Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administering and managing subcontract agreementsLeading subcontractor meetings (progress, commercial, contractual)Frequently liaising with a JV/consortiumIdentifying and managing contractual risks, variations, and deviationsSupporting negotiations related to changes, additional works, omissions, and claimsMaintaining accurate contractual records, correspondence, and reportingEnsuring subcontract obligations align with the project schedule, cost, and quality targets PROFILE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management is preferredAt least 10 years’ experience as a Contract or Subcontract Manager, ideally with a history of working with main contractors within a large JV or consortium environmentHistory of working on significant heavy civil engineering projects, highways, or bridgesStrong analytical and logical skills, with excellent knowledge of Design & Build contracts (UAV-GC or equivalent)Confident in contract interpretation, negotiations, and stakeholder managementExcellent communication skills in spoken and written Dutch and EnglishThe right to live and work in the EU
